EUROPEAN UNION DATA ROAMING CAPPING FROM 1ST JULY 2010

When travelling around the world on business data roaming helps you, and your team, to be a lot more productive. However, it is also as important to remain in control of how much you are spending while you're away.
To help manage your data roaming costs a European Union data capping and notification will come into effect from 1st July 2010. As a Vodafone customer the cap will automatically be applied before you exceed a monthly data roaming spend of 50 Euros. This applies to both handheld and mobile broadband data usage.
Customers will be notified by text message when they are 50%, 80% and 100% through their monthly data roaming allowance, giving them the chance to remove the cap if the wish to do so. Once the 100% threshold is hit data roaming will be barred and the customer will not be able to data roam for the rest of the month - unless you contact us on 0844 880 2232 or 0113 2351100 from your mobile.

PIONEER WINS £200,000 CONTRACT!
Pioneer is very pleased to announce that we have won a telecommunications contract with Ultra Electronics. Bidding against other competitors Pioneer were successful in obtaining the contract worth £200,000.

Orange Roaming Changes!
From 1st July Orange will be changing the charges for SMS rates, voice charging increments and data.
- The cost to send an SMS will reduce by more than 50% in zones 1 and 2. Current rates are 20p per message in Ireland and the Channel Islands and 25p per message in the Orange Business Zone (all prices exclude VAT).
- Orange will be lowering their charging increments on voice rates in zones 1 & 2. For making calls, there will be a 30 second minimum call charge followed by per second billing. Receiving calls abroad will be charged per second with no minimum call charge. This is an improvement on Orange's current increments in Europe with are in 60 second blocks.
- Regulation to reduce industry wholesale rates. There is no impact on the standard rates that Orange's customers pay today, however, they will be refreshing some of their data offers later in the year.
